does anyone no the law on having black number as in the old style plates on either the front or back, iam sure jims got black number plates but just wondered if you get a fine or points

They are illegal on vehicles manufactured after 196- ?? Not sure of the exact year but it will be a 3 point fine minimum and a fine if prosecuted.
