Im in the middle of one of these at the minute.

Its a new approach from 5-0 where they offer u a course (a day and a half long at a cost of 130 buff) instead of doing u with drivin with undue care and other menial things.

Its deffo the way forward. Saves 60 quid and some points (which in the long run will cost u)

Today we spent 4 hours talkin about what makes a good driver and what causes a crash, then after dinner we went out driving. Just to assess how good you are at the start. then they taught me their methods (including commentary driving)

Tonight is homework night

And tomorrow its back for more commentary driving and then a second check to see if ive improved (i have already i know)

Deffo i good idea and not only has it made me better in their eyes its also made me better in mine. Im using the learner method while with them, when ive passed this ill go back to 1 hand on wheel 1 hand on knob all the time but its my observation and forward planning that will stay improved.

Views and opinions peeps. Also post up when ur course is booked, one day we'll all end up on one. 1 of the guys on our course is only on it cos he pulled out on a (speeding) cop car. They booked him with the course just cos they were havin a bad day (see they can still be evil)

Mate of mine had to go on one of these or loose his licence after a bad crash.

Didn't really make him turn into a miracle driver, at least he has only had 2 minor incidents since.

I don’t think you get taught enough about looking ahead when driving; you should do a lesson on running commentary.

Not everyone will agree with this, but for me it works.

Wanna lesson from me? he he am a good teacher!!
