Hi I'vejust received a call from an o800 number. I didn't answer as i never answer unless i know the number, well they left a voice mail by accident which shows them talking to each other saying ' that's how you get in there bank account and this is the way the scam them. Obviously thought they had put the phone down but instead left me a 4 min message on there convoy. They also said how much theve received each already. Should i call the police about this. The call is not that clear but you can make out bits or should i ring them ba ck first ?? X
Your local trading standards and the police would love that recording, they will be able to trace the number.

The full number is 101.....it's instead of 999, for non emergency calls.

Hi sorry for the late reply, i ended up taking me phone to the local police station were they took me into a room to listen to the call. As the 4mn message was abit muffled the officer asked if i could leave my phone with them so they could get abetter recording from it (which i did) gutted lol. I went back a couple of hours later to which they thanked me and said they will looking into it further . He said the number which they phoned from can not be reached so there will be an investigation and will be passed on to a fraud team. I left my details for them to contact me back. They wouldn't really give ne any info just if i get the call again to get in touch with them straight away xx
i don't want to put the number on here just be aware when receiving 0800 calls xx
Thanks everyone. Kind of shocked me so wasn't sure what to do. Must admit i laughed too because i just couldn't believe it. They really should have made sure the phone was down lol xx

Google the number and you should see who else has an issue with it. You may also find out who it belongs to
