Threaten to take them to the trading standards (report them) unless they deliver the car and state on the reciept "sold for spares or repair only" she's got her dough back garunteed. 30 days she has, they have to give her the money back!
Did the ad say "full Mot"?
If so, find the ad and she has them for false advertising too. Also, check it hasn't been clocked by checking the previous mots on the vosa website. Also, what did it fail on for the Mot? Check the items have been repaired, if not the mots bent!
I know this because I work for a van sales company, we have to be careful when selling the part exchanges wink
Good luck mate happy

Oh, ps : NEVER EVER buy a ka with more than 80k, you do and it won't last long, they're only good for around 90k then they mess up wink

All Traders Must offer a Warentee, if they are a Trader self employed or ltd.

What the warentee is worth is another question, as there as much use as the paper its written on.

Take Pictures, receipts names log everything.
If there was an ad get a copy of it.

And show them. Trading standards is not going to act quickly.
Or you could try the small claims court.

Dealers (not all) are hit hard with the recession.
There going to try and get rid of anything with what they can.

Personally i would park right across there gates.
And warn people as they enter about the level of service.

My Thoughts.

Just spoke to the garage and they have now offerd to do all the repairs needed to make it as advertised so at least we are getting somewhere. trading standards have said this is all they need to do. The only problem is getting the car to them as its a non runner at the moment
