Home insurance, car insurance, what ever it may be, just check

Just let it expire first, but check online or call them up.
don't take for granted that the price you see is the best price.

Dear (x)
(Reference number)
I recently applied to renew my (name of your policy/membership etc) with your company. I was shocked to discover that as an existing customer I was offered a less advantageous rate than the one a new customer would get.
I am disappointed that my loyalty counts for so little. I look forward to hearing from you and being offered the better rate as a reward for my (x) years with your company.
Yours sincerely,
