i think it looks swee apart from the front bumper i would perfer the wings west front bumper if i had a civic
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Maverick : Honda Civic - 29th Mar 2004 10:25am
looks subtle but nice, i'd take them little bar things out of the main hole in the middle of the front bumper to either side of the numberplate and smooth those bits off so you got a nice big mouth at the front, will look boss with some mesh in there laugh <img border="0" alt="[cwsmokin]" title="" src="graemlins/cwemotions036.gif" />

To start a proper list of my mods, I'm going to start with my latest mod, I would also like to know what you think of it.

I have changed the bonnet on my car from red to black. Acouple of reasons for this: 1. Got the new bonnet at a good price (sprayed), 2. Was having trouble matching the colour on the old bonnet. Here are some pics of the new (on the car).

Posted By: Sanchez Re: Maverick : Honda Civic - 7th Mar 2005 6:25pm
what a lucky bugger you are, i think it looks nicer than a carbon one. i also think you should spray your bodoy kit black to match it, this would then look the dogs b's. nice one mav.

One of the latest mods I have done to may car is a-VTec controller. The Controller is as they put it, A pig-back computer for the E.C.U. This allows you to change the vtec emgagement point, Which is usually 5100rpm. You change this from 3100rpm to 7000rpm, in stages of 100rpms. The vtec engagement point is where the vtec engine get most of its power.

The controller also allows you the change the air/ fuel mixture, so the car can have a rich mixture or a lean mixture depending on how you want your can to run i.e better acceleration or better fuel encomomy.

[Linked Image] [Linked Image]

The unit also has a monitoring part to it, This allows you to monitor 1, 2, 3 or 4 channels in the car. These can be manifold intake pressure, throttle postion, engine rpm, air correction factor, Vtec point from the ECU, Vtec point from the controller, cam angle ( on DOHC engines) and battery voltage. These can be displayed in a number of ways. One is like the second picture, this is displaying 4 channels, its displaying it in a numerical format. Other ways are a graph, inwhich each channel has a different line. Another way is in a dial format and last a random format.

The monitoring display can changed while driving, but the setting part has to be done with the engine off, just running off the battery. Once set the battery should be switched off and then the car restarted. This will then start the car with the new setting.

Lookin spot on mate. I do prefer the standard mirrors to ya M3 ones.
I know you don't wanna spend anymore money but i reckon that twin exhausts would suit your car so well.
Posted By: maverick Re: Maverick : Honda Civic - 12th May 2005 11:50am
Here is a couple of pics from the Max power + Peco rolling road day. Also there is the graph from the rolling road test on my car. The graph show a Max power of 107.2 Bhp at the wheels, this works out to be 130.2 Bhp at the fly-wheel. The car was 114.0 Bhp at the fly-wheel (as standard).

Code
   Name Wheel Fly
11th	Ax125fw 108.1	131.22
12th	MaverickFw 107.2	130.22
From the Main Leauge Tables
Dated 7th May 2005 Click Me

How Close 1 BHP omg

The Torque would be intresting to see. think
Posted By: maverick Re: Maverick : Honda Civic - 14th May 2005 11:32pm
The torque at the time of the rolling road was 93.7ft-lbs at about 5500rpm. But it was steady most of the time at 86-87ft-lbs

Cheers scooby, I have not seen a standard , or almost standard pic of my car in ages. As you see from the second last pic, I have fitted new wheels, this was due to a little accident. I got a good deal on them. So what does everyone think of the new wheels and the difference in the car from about 18 months ago. I says this, because it is 2 years to the day I brought the car and start to go to meets down at the rock.
Posted By: AL Re: Maverick : Honda Civic - 21st May 2005 1:13pm
