Picked her up for a bargain price of £500 (I think its a bargain anyways), 130,000 on the clock,MOT till Nov 08, Tax till end of March, 4 brand new tyres, Stainless steel back box (No name but sounds really nice and meaty) Nuffin wrong with her at all, very smooth and a nice drive, Bits of rust on the rear arch but nuffin major for the price i paid

The bloke i got the Civic off has some G-Max springs, Only wants £50 but im skinto

Are G-Max good springs ? Think they was 40mm or 45mm, Not sure

there as good as netto bud, i wouldnt skip any corner's on what my whole is sitting on, take your time and save up bud !

Ok, Alloys are on but the springs ain't lol, Old springs are yet to settle as its not long been done lol, Will get the new springs fitted soon (i hope)

I think it was only 30mm mate, I'm not sure where it said on the spring front or back it said 30, So i think they are only 30's, But like i said im really happy with that, Its handles 10x better and i like how low it is, Im not going OTT with this car so didn't want it too low lol

Ok found out they are 60mm drop haha, That back one is a no go tho HAve to do with just the 3 done for now

I know when I got mine it had a straight through system on it, and it was silly loud! It screamed "pull me", wouldnt have passed a noise test, defened you inside the car, and was typical "Barry" civic noise.

Well my civic got put to the test last nite and lets just say it ain't slow

Gutted, Me number plate come today but its wrong, I asked for a Honda badge but got a Yamaha one Also its a rear one not a front one

Emailed the guy tho.

How do you find it handles though? I found that if you ran the rear higher than the front, the EGs have a habit of oversteering due to the engine being mounted so far forward...

Of course, the coupe does have more weight over the rear than the 3 door, so may help compensate.

Really really bumpy but there is no body roll and the steering is dead touchy, You hardly have to turn the wheel lol, Ain't give it none yet, So will let you know what its like at speed round a bend etc etc

I'm tepmted to remove the rear ones again and take one of the ajuster rings off so it will sit another 10mm lower, If you get what i mean ?

so in other words youve fkd it up havent you....

And how do you work that one out ?

If you turn round and say its really really bumpy...and the steering is dead touchy...doesnt really sound that promising..Im not having a go...it just sounded like you were having regrets..
suspension is dead easy to get wrong..and alot of people drop the car on its arse and then regret bitterly doing so..it may look the mtuzntuz..but its a bitch to live with and noisey and every journey becomes hard work..you stop enjoying the car when it impacts on your day to day life..it stops your mates gettin in the back etc etc...

all I was saying was did you fook it up..or are you happy and going to keep it lower than my nans tits...

audi's got a point shawn, mostly about your mate's in the back and speed bumps etc etc, but who care's, its your car not a taxi etc etc, as long as you use it for fun, you'll never get bored of it, if the noise of the loud exhaust piss's you off, install a loud system

Lol..Ive had seriously modified car in the past..had an Audi S2 pushing nearly 500bhp at one point..and it was the most tempremental Son-of-a-bitch to start, work on and generally live with...I had to put two bottles of additives in every tank to stop it pinking and I struggled to get 120 miles out of a tank of juice...
I spend thousands and thousands on it...and it was SUCH a nightmare i eventually got rid..at a huge loss..whilst it was fun..when it worked and wasnt giving grief..all the extra hassel took such an edge off any enjoyment I got from the car...
be warned there is such a thing as going too far!..if your like the rest of us plebs and only have one car..not three lol!

Sean - you gonna remove the alloy rings? The bouncing could be because the car is so low, and stiff with the new springs, that it is under damped on the std shocks - springs are great for the looks of the car, but you really need shocks and springs to make a good overall improvement on the handling

Yep the alloy rings are coming it off making it another 20mm/30mm on the back

When i meant bumpy i didn't mean bouncing all over the place, I meant you feel every little bump in the road , Its dead stiff and don't bounce at all, You push down on the back off the car and the hole car moves at the same time lol, Thats how stiff it is

Just make sure you dont go so low that you take up all the movement in the shock - if its very low, and very stiff it could just be riding on the bump stops and have only them and the tyres for suspension. First time I set my first set of coilovers up mine did this lol

Well the front it 100mm and thats fine, so im hoping the back would be ok on 100mm awell, Only one way of finding out

Chopped the gear stick down as it was too big now its nice and small and feels dead nice, Also put a new gear knob on, Its a crappy red one with GTI on it but i got it with the Bravo so might aswell use it lol, Im going to spray it purple soon tho

You can't really tell how small it is unless you sit in the drivers side and feel it, Feels like a proper sporty car and just dead nice to change gear lol
