After driving the DC2 I Decided i had to have it, in championship white of course. All pretty much standard apart from vented and grooved disk brakes

Very very nice.

the main difference is obviously the shape,One difference is the engine, more torque, stiffer chassis, both LSD, but i think that the real difference is the price !

The DC2 is built on the old Civic chassis with double wishbones all round, 1.8 189BHP

The DC5 is built on the newer Civic chassis with wishbones froms and macphearson struts on the rear, 2.0l 220BHP

The DC2 is reguarly referred to as the best FWD car ever made (i think it is between that and the prelude) Out the box the DC5 apparently isn't as good, but with a few choice mods can apparently be better. Plus the DC5 looks alot nicer and until recently it was very rare.

Suppose it is all up to the buyers taste (and bank balance)

I meant to put best handling FWD, not best FWD

Nice car mate, wouldn't mind seeing it in the flesh wink

The DC5 also has bigger 300mm 4 pot Brembo calipers and a different final drive ratio making it quicker in 4th & 5th gears. Not sure if the DC2 also has a 6 speed box?

Have you got any plans to track it?

No, the DC2 only has 5 gears.

It has been round the ring about 30 laps, i am going to take it to some local ones when i have a bit of spare cash.

Am hopefully buying a motorbike this weekend, if i have any spare cash from that then i will take it round a track

If you go to any give me a shout and I might join you.

It would be interesting to also compare my Prelude to your DC2.

Saw you today mate coming out of the Croft estate. I was in the GF's Saxo a car behind and next to you at the lights. I wasn't sure it was you at first until you pulled away at the lights.

Looks very nice. I nearly bought a DC2 before I bought the Prelude, but it never happened.
