So far is unmodded, but the lighting kit will be going back on it soon, followed by either HU or speaker upgrades or both, then maybe a small boot build, and who knows what else!

Cheers Matty, I kind of had to go Celica again after the last one (although 2 model changes and 10 years between them!)
Allways wanted one of these, and now i'm as happy as a pig in mud!

Very nice mate.

You got any engine mods planned for it?
Posted By: CustomIce Re: CustomIce: Celica ST - 30th Apr 2007 8:06pm
Not really, except there's a bunch of machined lightweight pulleys for the likes of the aircon, power steering and anlternatr with oversize belts to help reduce power loss, so i'm thinking about those, don't want to do too much to this.
Unfortunately the 7S-FE engine thats in it isn't as tune-able as the 3SGE in the GT version.

Looks really nice, glad your happy,
did you get a good deal or did you have to pay
more than you wanted?
Posted By: CustomIce Re: CustomIce: Celica ST - 1st May 2007 8:32am
Traded the old one in for it and got £200 off the price (saves me paying to scrap the old one too) Paid just under what my budget was, so there's a little left for mods smile

Ok, so i've managed to get t around to posting about what i've done.

UFO kit went on a few weeks back , along with the scanner (knightrider stylee). And i spent some time this week modding my indicator housings to take......more ICELED.

uploaded a vid to you tube, apologies but the sound is poor, if you turn it up a bit you can make out the tune on the stereo and the lights reacting to it.

Been a long time since i posted anything on this.

I've been busy with the wiring smile

Amp and sub in place, se below

MiniPower cap for the headunit is in, blanking plate below the HU housing the amp switch and remote bass control to tidy everything up a bit (will get pics once its painted)

Sub pod build in the rear passenger compartment has begun 1/2 way there and booming away, testing:

Hurry up and paint your HU and get some pics up!

Great idea. How are you going to seal the sub though?
Posted By: CustomIce Re: CustomIce: Celica ST - 12th Jul 2008 12:16pm
Its all sealed, i've built the back of the enclosure from fibreglass too, shaped specially to fit in the space behind the pannel.

Posted By: BMW Joe Re: CustomIce: Celica ST - 16th Jul 2008 9:15am
wow, they're quality

how did you manage to do it?
Posted By: CustomIce Re: CustomIce: Celica ST - 16th Jul 2008 11:58am
Painted the calipers white and let that fully cure, then cleaned them up, (having removed the wheels)marked roughly what i wanted to paint with a soft pencil.
Then using hafords high temp red paint and a pinstriping brish i carefully freehand painted the outlines then filled it all in.
Posted By: MattLFC Re: CustomIce: Celica ST - 16th Jul 2008 12:08pm
Lmao mate, thats certainly individual, I aint seen anyone do that before! I dunno if I would do summit like that, but it is very cool nevertheless. You could start a new trend here!!

Better than just a standard one-colour painted caliper lol! I bet it took a while to get the paint as good as it is, you must have the patience of a saint id have messed it up meself lol.

..that will be the calipers in a few 100 miles frown
Posted By: CustomIce Re: CustomIce: Celica ST - 16th Jul 2008 12:25pm
I know, not washed the car in a while, they do get a bit grim, i usually clean the car regularly and do the wheels and calipers too.
