Thanks to T.C for a great walk/afternoon out- taking in Mayer Park, inside and outside St Andrews church and onto the Lever Railway Cuttings Walk.

Was lovely to see new faces and the weather was fantastic. Also thanks to Missy for the lift and the ham butties. smile

Legend has it that the lamp post within the grounds of St Andrews was the inspiration for the lamp post in C.S Lewis' 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe'.

I was also interested in a certain grave- I wonder whether it was the inspiration for the illustrations of 'Aslans table',in the book??

Probably just me getting carried away by the 'magic' of it all- The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was the first book that i ever read as a child.

Yes was a good day , very interesting stories at St Andrews , very good of the Historian to give a 'impromptu' talk to a group of randoms.... Nice to meet new people from the facebook group.Great photos from you all ,well done ...
Looking forward to next one ..maybe attract more wiki's , now the weather is getting better... she say's...lol
