The road by the Penny Bridge roundabout was down to one lane, but passable when I passed a few minutes after this was posted; a police car was parked across the two lanes of the flyover, which makes me think the actual tunnel approach had been flooded. This has happened now and again - and the rain was really coming down stair rods this afternoon! It probably drained away fairly quickly, but the drains just can't handle that amount of run-off. Northbound traffic was backing up beyond the Upton junction; glad I was going the other way!
