The council in their wisdom have decided to cut the staff at Wirral archives to 2 instead of 3, so in future they are going to have to operate an appointment system to cope with enquiries. I am waiting hopefully for the council to declare redundancies amongst the councillors, I think I might have a long wait. Cuts in Libraries, now Archives whatever will be next?
