Has anyone ever noticed that just past the Lighthouse pub next to what used to be the shop So & So's (going back a bit!)theres a small yard with sheds in and one of the gateposts looks pretty old and has what could be a horseshoe and the word 'THE' carved on it? I pass it every day and just wondered where it might be from?

Where?
Edit - ignore. I missed the first post of the thread
This area is close to Sandiways Road where MANY years ago there used to be stables for the horses that raced on the sands

5 Precepts of Buddhism seem appropriate. Refrain from taking life. Refrain from taking that which is not given. Refrain from misconduct. Refrain from lying. Refrain from intoxicants which lead to loss of mindfulness
