Hi,
When I was 14years old (1950) I started learning to dance at the Princes Ballroom at the top of Oxton road.
I was wondering if anyone has any Photos of it, inside or out.
I have some really nice memories from there, learning the basic steps as a newcomer in the downstairs room and just wishing I was good enough to go upstairs where the good dancers went, and seeing all the nice looking girls going up the stairs really made me learn FAST...lol
I can also remember going across the road to the "Outdoor" and buying bottles of beer, it was always ME that had to go inside and get them because I looked the oldest....lol
Ahhhh what nice times they were...
I DID get to go upstairs and learned more dance moves, and even joined the troupe of sequence dancers.
I just thought I would mention this in case someone on here was a member at the same time, and I would love to see any pics you may have.
Bri.....
