Water firm fined over sewage United Utilities have been fined the maximum £20,000 by Carlisle magistrates for allowing raw sewage to discharge into a beck.
The discharge from one of the main sewers in Wigton killed fish and invertebrates in Wiza Beck.
The Beck and bank were littered with debris, including toilet paper, sanitary towels and condoms.
