Owners might get burgled items back

MERSEYSIDE Police have charged two men in connection with a series of burglaries and two armed robberies.

James Rickett, 43 , of no fixed abode, was charged with two armed robberies and two domestic burglaries.

Rickett has had a further 26 burglaries taken into consideration.

All 28 burglaries are thought to have taken place in the Wallasey Village and New Brighton areas of Wirral. The two robberies were both in the Crosby area.

Rickett has been remanded in custody.

Phillip Morton, 34, of Harthill Mews, Prenton, has been charged with handling stolen goods and is on bail.

Six of the victims to the burglaries have already had property returned to them.

But large quantities of stolen property has been recovered and Merseyside Police would like to reunite items with their owners.

Officers are urging anyone in those areas who has recently been the victim of a burglary to contact them on 0151 777 2259 or 777 2269.

In order to claim the items, proof of purchase or the ability to describe an individual or distinctive feature of the jewellery will be needed.
