A WORKER AT Liverpool John Lennon Airport has been suspended in a row over a “racist” website.
Merseyside police’s hate crime unit is probing the comments posted on social networking site Facebook.
Up to 60 people are thought to have joined the group, which asked why some airport workers did not speak English.
One member even suggested workers band together to force out non-English staff.
One woman was suspended by airport security firm G4S after an internal investigation.
The website group is specifically aimed at people working for airport caterers SSP.
It is called “Why does no-one at SSP LJLA (Liverpool John Lennon Airport) speak English?”
The group is believed to have operated for six months before authorities were informed.
