Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of 64-year-old William Sherratt, who has been missing from Arrowe Park Hospital since Monday.

Police say Mr Sherratt was undergoing treatment at the hospital when he discharged himself.

He was last seen at the hospital at around 1pm and has not been in contact since then.

He is described as white, 5ft 11ins, medium build with short grey hair and grey facial stubble.

He is known to frequent railway stations and is originally from the Upton area.

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare as his treatment had not been completed.

They are appealing for anyone who knows of his whereabouts or anyone who may have seen him since Monday to contact them on 0151 709 6010 or the Missing Persons Helpline in confidence on 0500 700 700.
