Maintenance firm Hertel wins seven-year Ellesmere Port Stanlow deal




SERVICES company Hertel has agreed a new seven-year maintenance deal with Shell at its Stanlow refinery near Ellesmere Port.

The contract covers maintenance services including insulation, scaffolding and painting as well as civil and mechanical engineering work.

Hertel has worked at Stanlow for more than 24 years and has more than 500 employees at the site.

David Fitzsimons, managing director of Hertel UK and Ireland, said: “We are also involved in the planning of maintenance, which enables us to be pro- active in supporting the smooth operation of the refinery and ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum.”
