A TEENAGE girl bit a woman and tore out her piercings during a drunken fight at a Wirral nightspot.

Gemma Moore, 19, was out with friends at Sophie’s, in Argyle Street South, Birkenhead, when she banged into reveller Nicola Moore.

Fuelled by alcohol, the pair argued and a fight broke out, said Ben Morris, prosecuting. “Moore knocked her to the ground, bit her finger and banged her head on the floor,” he said.

“She tried to pull the ring out of Nicola Moore’s lip and, with the help of a friend, Kate Harrison, she launched a barrage of kicks and punches.”

Moore, of Holly Grove, Birkenhead, pleaded guilty at Liverpool Crown Court toassault causing actual bodily harm last September 24.

Judge Adrian Lyon said: “The reason this incident occurred was because you were absolutely drunk.”

He gave her a 12-month community order with supervision and ordered her to do 100 hours’ unpaid work, as well as pay her victim £300 compensation.

Kate Harrison, 21, of Fishers Lane, will be sentenced on January 30
