The purpose of this thread is to name and shame those vehicles that are being driven by people with no care for other road users, their passengers or themselves.

This is the UNINSURED Driver thread here to help the Police to track these idiots down!

Lets start off with this pratt....

This idiot likes to drive the kids to school and go shopping in his car. idiot

Ford Mondeo xxxxxx
xx breck road Wallasey xxxx
Best time to catch is in morning as taking kids to school for 9am.
Mr Policeman, CRUSH this car happy

IMAGES REMOVED :
Ste although your intentions seem on the face of it a good thing to show -
name and shame, but the source of your information
is at best unreliable.
For that reason the details have been removed.
See last post as this thread will be now closed.

Though it is usually correct, the MID can be incorrect on occasion; some insurers do not conform to the MID, some types of policies do not require you to have an individual car insured, and the acceptable period is 7 working days for an MIB conforming insurer to update the MID.

So may not always be perfect, but 99.9% of the time it is.

From what I've seen, MID is a good guide as to what's insured/not insured, but it can't be treated as gospel - as has been pointed out already.

I have a trade policy, and I put another car on my insurance last week - its still showing as uninsured on AskMid [Linked Image]

As already mentioned, its ok as a guide, but by no means gospel.

AskMID is pretty unreliable. Most classic car insurance and small scale insurers is not on there, when I changed mine in December it wasn't on there, and still isn't (even though it is on the police's database). There's a reason why it's free!

I confirm that the vehicle detailed above is registered, owned or insured by either my employer or myself and is regularly driven by me. I understand it is an offence to wrongfully obtain information of this nature without reasonable cause and if I fail to provide true reasons for acquiring information I may be committing an offence of unlawfully obtaining data contrary to section 55 of the Data Protection Act 1988. I declare that the information provided will not be used for any purposes unrelated to this enquiry. I agree to the terms of use as stated on this web site.

I do hope you are using the £3.50 paid check service, not the free one? Or are you admitting to the police that you are guilty of the offence of unlawfully obtaining data?

I actually think thats wrong - if the car is on the public highway everyone should be entitled to that info - actual owners / address details are a big no no, but I think you should be allowed to check if a car is insured or not...

Ste :

We are not valiantness we can only report on facts.
I'm sure if someone was to post the details of your car
and address and it was found to be all fine, you would not
be happy and would want some action taken.

At best we do have to be careful how we report these items.
Some one parked on a zig zag and so on.
But we cant become judge and jury we have to be 100% sure
of what we are reporting.

Feel free to pm me if you need to discuss this further.

Mark
