ABS anti-lock brakes - an essential safety feature - are now standard on all Agila mini-MPVs. A new 1.2-litre petrol engine is offered in the Agila and Corsa. This develops 79bhp; in the Agila (from £7,995) it produces 100 mph, 0-60 in 12.2 seconds and 47.1mpg. In the Corsa, it can give up to 109mph, 0-60 in 11.8 seconds and 48.3mpg. Meriva compact MPVs are offered with the new 1.4-litre petrol engine (90bhp, as in the latest Astra range), which replaces the 87bhp 1.6 8v. Quicker and more economical, it delivers 0-60 in 13 seconds, 44.1mpg and carbon dioxide emissions of 154g/km; prices remain unchanged. Vectra models are offered with Life trim, instead of LS; prices remain the same. A six-speed automatic gearbox is offered with the 150bhp 1.9 CDTi diesel engine (as fitted in the Saab 9-3, costing from £18,055 in the Vectra Energy). Signum models are also offered with the six-speed auto and 150bhp CDTi diesel engine, replacing the 2.2 DTi models; prices from £21,845 (Signum Elegance). Vectra SRi Navigation models cost £500 more than the standard SRi, saving £400 on an SRi plus optional sat nav. New options for SRi and Signum include automatic headlights, IDS Plus adaptive suspension and rear seat audio controls. Zafira MPVs now come with rake/reach-adjustable suspension (Expression and Life versions); Life models gain a CD/radio.
