Anyone know if a phase 1 106 1600cc xsi engine will go into a phase 2 106 base model.
Any help or anyone who can do this would be appreciated.

[/b] Not being funny, but the chances of him getting insured on a VTS engined 106 are pretty slim (at least for a couple of years anyway). Then you'd need to upgrade the breaks and suspension too. Would make for an ace car though! If youve got the cash, then go for it! Or You could always find a 106 Rallye engine........although theyre super rare.
