Merseyside will fall silent on Sunday, November 9 to mark Remembrance Sunday.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I in 1914 – a catastrophic event in which hundreds of thousands of people from Merseyside and the surrounding boroughs lost their lives, along with millions around the world.

Below, you can find services in Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, Halton and West Lancs.

Merseyside is passionately patriotic and as such, this is not an exhaustive list of services – contact your local council or borough if you require further details.

All services listed below will be conducted on Sunday, November 9, unless stated otherwise.
