You do know you can just buy new ones and plug them in yourself? It's dead easy... unless i'm missing something.

New cordless ones are easy to do yourself if you have the right plug in phone socket and a power socket near by, they can be bought as one or as multiple packages but you only need the one line socket, we have just replaced our old cordless ones, bought two gigaset phones on offer at Currys for £24 good little phones.
