I think its covered under the asbo thing?

And if it is then why can a utility company
get away with drilling the road.

I'm sure that has a higher db.

Be good to get more info on this one,
or is it another pc making up
the rules as he goes along?

No idea, but I read on a news site the other day that police in another country are trialing new cameras with sound detection equipment attached.

Any car that passes with an exhaust / sterio louder than the acceptable set level with be photo'd and sent a fine eek

Cant remember the site I read it on, but if anyone has time for a google search, Im sure itll turn up.

Guardian artical

(Not the one I was looking for, but give an idea of the plans they may put in place)

personally i think this i right, especially in residential areas.

I reguarly get woken up by people with music on really loud, at 4am in the morning, followed by a wheel sping and excessive revving. Its not big or clever, specially at that time.

she just a verbal warning? she only been driving 2 weeks
it was on the a41 just before the port sunlight turning she says there was little traffic and he followed her from eastham and as soon as she seen him she turned her radio down to 12 on the scale so i cant see where thay get off.
i agree the loud music after say 9pm and wheel spin is wrong but to get a warning at 2.30 in the afternoon now that wrong.

After watching the dispatches program last night on channel 4

I wouldnt be suprised if they followed her just to see if she had a skirt on!

Its Wrong...
2:30 in the afternoon....

Sunshine makes us all feel like summer is here
and yeh we all crank it up a bit more.

I think if anyone gets pulled for this in the future, should enquire

Which Regulation Does this fall under.
And What is your PC Number.

I once got told a didnt like black people because i had DMX playing and it has black music playing in a white mans car.

I think of you play loud music in a built up area then it shouldnt be loud BUT if its 2-30pm then whats the problem

Think maybe the five-o were alittle pissed to find a women behind the wheel n not a man.( This is not in any way saying men get les resprct then a woman when it comes to gettig stopped in your ride).

Loud music can be illegal and very dangerous as it blocks one of your main senses that should be getting used whilst driving, hearing. You cannot hear traffic signals such as train barriers etc when listening to loud music, so its not all to do with being a nusience, but I am pretty sure there is some law against the music being so loud for safety reasons anyway. Also, the louder the volume, the less aware you are, it hampers your alerness and reposnse times believe it or not.

Remember, it is illegal to wear headphones whilst riding a bike for the very reasons of audiable traffic signalling.

Common sense really, and I think it can make certain situations dangerous. smile

I set my music to 20 max (out of 35) and thats comfortably loud that gives the "bass pressure" too but when the window comes down so does the volume, and its never loud late at night, especially in residential areas and ESPECIALLY near my own road as i dont want chavs thinking ive got a million amps just cos its loud (i aint even got a single aftermarket speaker in..................yet)
