Estate versions will follow a year later. The new C is intended to be much sportier, and much more of a driver's car, in a bid to win back buyers lost to the ever-popular BMW 3-Series. It will feature the latest M-B engine technology, including an electronic valvetrain with no camshaft and direct-injection petrol systems; there are also likely to be turbocharged petrol engines. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05march/cruisewirral14028.jpg)

Yup, could well be where the influence has come from as its being put out as the main competetor for the BMW 3 Series
