Will do mate, just waiting on a new mod atm though so could be a short while coz it's out of use. Sent the transfer case (PTO) off to a mate who's juggling the gears inside it around a bit to give it super low gearing laugh Will be sooooo torque'y.

Spent some of the weekend building an install (not ice). It's for all the off roading gear so it doesn't go rolling round in the back all the time and knock someone out cold when we go over a big bump lol. Also got some rear lighting up now so we can always see where we're goin, whether it's forwards or backwards.

Right, install's finished and now started fitting scoops old buckets in. They're cobra clubmans in black and silver, fit in very snugly. Should have them finished tomorrow smile

Right let's see what's changed... buckets are in, harnesses are refitted, changed the side lights for oval tinted ones and moved them higher up, we've got vw beetle indicators to go on soon, and the plywood install is finished and is very tidy. But best of all the rock-crawler transfer case is finished and fitted, and makes it impossible to stall in low range. It's absolutely phenomenal!

And just realised I never posted up about the "fast/slow" switch that my brother has been developing! Basically it's a switch linked up to the excess fuel controller, so you need it to start the engine then switch it off and just use it for whenever the extra torque is needed (which is hardly ever now anyway lol)

Bad news is that on the test run after all of this we crumbled one of the rear leaf springs frown apparently ironman springs don't last much more than a year, and considering we drove off road in it more than on... well, you get the picture. New rear springs are on their way now, as is a new back door to finally replace the curved one happy

Well, I can say now that it's been ages since i last went out in this, once in the last 4 months to be precise. It always seems to be the case that my bro does some work to it, takes it out to test it, then breaks something else. Then comes to me and says that he needs half the money to fix it (I'm already in debt). Then once it's fixed he'll take it out, test it, and break something else... you get the idea.

I'm not getting any time with this baby at all, so I've sold him my half.

Good news is I'm almost outta debt now because of it, so give it a couple of months and I can start the serious mods to the civic!

My bro promises I'll still get some use out of the jeep, but it's unlikely to ever be at another cruise. I'm gonna make sure this topic stays open so i can post up about anything my bro's doing to it. Infact there's a couple of things changed since my last post, including re-positioned parking lights which are oval with smoked lenses, and merc' G Wagen style front indicators. Looks smart and there's no lights in the bumper now so they're less likely to get damaged.

I'll try and get some more recent pics up during the week.

Looks like i passed it on just in time! Coz since my last post, my bro has crashed into 3 trees! Broken the two supposedly unbreakable front wheel arches, which are very rare in the UK, bent the Twin tube steel front bumper, and mangled the o/s front wing.

Still, looks meaner now if anything! He's also done some mods to the front bumper to mount a winch which looks very smart. We went off roading at the weekend and promptly got stuck, which gave us chance to test it out. Got some pics too:

About 20 mins, tried hooking the winch onto some half buried concrete blocks which looked to be a good 1/4 ton in wieght, but ended up pulling down the bank they were buried in! Tried again with a railway sleeper that was just sticking out of the ground but it turned out to be rotten and we just snapped it. Finally tried with a tree (the cable only just reached), which got us out just as it was pulling out of the ground.
