Cyclist blasts "badly designed" track in Seacombe
Is this the worst cycle path in Merseyside?
Cyclist James Maloney thinks so – he posted this photo on Twitter slamming a cycle lane in Birkenhead Road, Seacombe.
He asked: “Worst designed bike path in Wirral? Bike path run straight into a bench, bus stop and two trees.”
James, from Fazakerley, said: “I think it’s poorly designed – it runs into a bench.
“If you were on it and travelling towards Seacombe you’d either have to get off the bike and push it around or go into the road, where the traffic is coming towards you, before you can rejoin it.
Integrated Transport System ! Looks like a nice old 70s blue car. The cycle lane I hate is the one along the old Ford Estate. They made the road narrower and the new kerbline is dark so at night you don't see the cycle lane
should have known. My dad had a Victor Estate and my first car was an F reg viva estate (old at the time) which we ragged down to devon--tried to hit the ton in it on M5 but gave up around 90 as it was starting to rattle. Days when the novice mechanic could at least have a go at plugs points etc.
I was looking at new cycle lane by Port Sunlight, it is only narrow enough for one cycle, what are they supposed to do when they meet in opposite directions? Ride on the pedestrian way?
That is a Victor FD, I used to be a Victor FB nut. Plenty of cars around without computers driving them, I have two, can even change the cam belt in 15 mins by the side of the road if it breaks.
