Do these bridges belong to Peel? I'm sure there are Peel warning signs on them, and their security grunts are keen to point it out if you go near them.
If so, then why is the government and council paying for their repair?

I remember the policemen who stood directing traffic before the roundabout was put in at Duke Street. I remember the smell of the cattle as they transferred from ships via the wooden runs; the divers' suits hanging up to dry outside the tower building. Mustn't forget the signal box at Tower Road rail line where the signalman kept a beautiful little garden around his box. Just thinking about this brought back memories of travelling down the road tunnel link to Liverpool that is now closed off. When the 'Three Queens' make a spectacle of themselves will the locals in New Brighton/Wallasey be blocked in by traffic again.
