Taken probably by my mother when she had the boys for a visit. It's over 40 years ago. I've got a feeling it might be West Kirby; I've vague memories of a large paddling pool.
Actually it could be Hoylake! They used to have an old pool before the new one was created by he lighthouse and the houses in the background look familiar! Either Hoylake or West Kirby!

I would say the houses shown are on the corner of South parade and Riverdale road westkirby,if you look at the chimney pots they are on the ridge in the photo and in Westkirby but lower down on the houses in Hoylake.The building between the childrens heads looks like the block of flats on the left of the flats on the corner of Riverdale.
