I heard an Aldi was being built there.
Don't know how true it is though?

There is planning permission to build
four three bedroom terraced houses
from 26-8-2011 so possibly now building
these. A few vacant sites round Wallasey
are now building as the market picks up.

With the problem of cars parked on the bend of this road, and the number of people pulling up to collect post from the GPO sorting office, i would have thought the best bet was to use this land as a car park.

i echo this, i did and do park on the road next to it when i collect parcels from there, i have also admittedly parked in the pub car park but that's usually quite busy as well.

there's LOADS of new flats going up around new brighton and it's a shame, could have used that land for better things, i always thought the old lookers site would make a decent concrete skate-park but i imagine residents may not like it, understandably too.

ideally it would be a small department type store or something like that with multiple small shops but again, finances etc, it'll probably end up another bloody tesco or flats.

Its not going to be a skate park or a car park unless the council buys it off the land owner. Theres already a Tesco down the road. I would put my money on it following the typical patten these things usually follow round here ie flats. Probably as many tiny hutches squeezed into the plot as the building regs can possibly allow and built as high as they can get away with to maximise profit.

After looking at the planning documents online
it seems they refer only to the old tyre place
in Urmson Rd and not the main Lookers site so
may not be relevant.

If you go on to WBC planning Dept and type in Application OUT/11/00929 it will bring up the Lookers site. In 2011 permission was given for 12 houses to be built. I have rang the Council who told me there is no planning permission for anything at the moment. My guess is it will left to be overgrown wasteland but hopefully not.

That is the application but it is for four houses
with three bedrooms each not 12 houses. Agreed,
it could be waste land for a while.

The workmen are using an old fire engine to blast water/waste away
It wont be a tesco or morrisons for sure
Too close to ones already
Aldi lidl dont do small ones like the big three
Im glad theyre gonna double line it as barclays staff park all over it.
The breeze blocks where only put there to stop parking on old dealer ship land
Its a filthy waste bin of glass dog pooh chav bottles and needles.
Any kind of space the scals ruin it so im glad its gona change.
