can anyone recommend a cheap camp site preferably north Wales way for pitching a tent....thanks in advance

I am just back from an adults only site near Whitchurch. Been many times before. Very good. Google, Canal Side Caravan Site.

Some sites charge per pitch, some per person. That can make a big difference if you camp alone. One of my favourites, Rynys near Betws-y-Coed, charges per person and last time I went it was £7.50/night. Friendly owner, clean facilities, informal layout, beautiful views. There's a good website and forum with loads of camping info on www.ukcampsite.co.uk .

thanks for everyone's advice we've booked to go to the canal side caravan site Rocks, The Horse & Jockey over the A41 from the site has great ales & the food is fantastic.
