Have been looking at a second car for a while now, one has caught my eye, hopefully once a get a new job with enough pay i can take the cally off the road to fix all the little problems. The car that has caught my attention is a : Volvo S70 T5 Saloon 2.3 Manual. Unsure on the miles and think it might be an ex cop car as its white and just looks like it was. I dont think i will be able to afford this one right now but in the future, so can someone give me the specs on one. i know they do a T4 2.0 and a T4 diesel. but im intrested in the T5 2.3. Thanks guys i know you will help me out. Edit: Forgot to mention would be around a P or R reg.

Not sure about performance stuff, but the "T" stands for Turbo, and the 4 or 5 after relates to the number of cylinders. I know the T5 variations are very thirsty and Volvo Parts aint the cheapest. Due to their weight they commonly warp brake disks and Genuine Volvo parts are the best replacement @ £140 a pair

Volvo S70 T5 Driving Immense poise and stability; effective traction control system; very responsive; body control is good even near the limits, but at the expense of a firm ride; very confident roadholding, especially AWD. Performance Quick acceleration and good mid-range muscle; 2.5 20v is fast enough if you don’t fancy a turbo; T5 and R cars are exciting but tend to eat tyres. Check out a more full review here Hope this helps

Heres something for you then, the NEW Focus ST is the same engine found in the T5 220BHP S40, so it has 5 cylinders and a turbo

Yep your right dazza i seem to remember them saying that on top gear.
Not stealing the lime light from the new ST but....
i want info on a 2.3 T5
I do like the 2.5 but i think insurance would pull my pants down on that one.

0-60 in 6.4 not to bad, and a quater mile in 14.9.
Seems like quite a fast car, no wonder the police like them.

Indeed! Had a drive of a V70 2.3T5 last year, definately didn't hang about. Forgot the lights stayed on even in the off position and was wondering why i couldn't get the main beam to work!
