If your asking "anywhere" on the Wirral, why say Prenton is out of the way?

Not on Wirral, but if you ever go to Chester, the Steamer Trading cookshop on Bridge Street will sharpen kitchen knives; It's either £1.50 or £2.50 each: can't remember which.
Carpe diem.

Anywhere in Wirral that could do that, all can find online is lawn-mowers on industrial estate in Prenton, bit out of way for me Depending upon what knifes your sharpening, you may try a key cutter as they have grinding wheels. Failing that the Market could be a punt. * In this day and age, you would probably be walking around with a lethal weapon (The knives). If your asking "anywhere" on the Wirral, why say Prenton is out of the way? The Lawn mower company is on the Durly industrial estate and with out transport its out the way.
