Smoked salmon and poached eggs, rest of the family tell me I ruin it with seafood sauce but I love it.

We had a leg of lamb at the weekend, used the leftover lamb to make a shepherds pie, delicious.

Had beans on toast with fried eggs on top earlier, making Spanish chicken with chorizo roast potatoes later.

We had Christmas dinner today!

At Christmas we were in Tenerife. Hotel was OK but the food was awful - bland, same every day and very low quality. Even for Christmas day and New Year it was the same boring trash. Although we were booked full board we went out to a restaurant on Christmas day - but it was steak & trimmings (very nice) not traditional Christmas.

So today we had roast chicken, parsnips, roast spuds, carrots, sprouts, peas, broccoli etc with loads of gravy followed by Christmas pud with brandy & custard. No mince pies to follow because I ate them all yesterday. Still, very nice.

And yes, we did have Christmas crackers, candles on the table and wine etc just as we would have done for a proper Christmas dinner.
