Select all the files

right click

go to properties

in general tab make sure to un-check read only

The only option there when format is XFAT and if i click format, it fails

Would this be of any help..



Click the Windows "Start" button in the task bar. Type "cmd" into the text box and press "Enter" to open your Windows command prompt.

Type "drive:" where "drive" is the drive that you want to change. Press "Enter." This points the prompt to the root of the drive.

Type "attrib -r /d" and press "Enter." This removes the read-only attribute. The "d" switch applies your settings to all subfolders, so the entire drive is edited.

google fat32 formater.

I have a 64Gb Stick and have formatted it fat32 for compatibility.
But i cant have any files over 4GB.

Works for me.

Zipper the drive is not formatted so it cant have any permissions.
It does not know what to do.

xfat is the new window format for +4GB Drives

I got a free 64 thing for participating in something or other and I was never able to use it beyond the advertisers bump.
Hope that this is not case here.

Works for me.

The DR give me a link to software to sort it, but it fails straight away, saying disk is write protected.
