Hi I have got a few 17 inch iMac's for sale. Condition is good but used. All have intel core 2 duo processors and have a fresh install of Snow leopard. This can be upgraded to Lion if desired. This is a great opportunity to get your self on to the apple revolution.
The price for tese iMacs on eBay are about £300, I am selling for £200 (wiki members and friends only) in order to move them quickly.
Stock is limited and response so far has been overwhelming so if your interested be quick! Machines will be ready from Sunday evening. If interested dont delay, they won't last long at that price.
For anyone who doesn't know, the iMac is a all in one computer, the inners are built in to the screen so there is no tower. Apple computers generally are much faster than windows pcs due to the way that program's run, there is no registry and program's don't actually get installed they just run! The iMacs don't come with keyboard and mouse, you can use any USB wireless one or a wired one, alternatively you could purchase the official Bluetooth keyboard and Magic Mouse.
Yes and no! You can install lion no issues but you will need to increase the Ram, mountain lion uses a different architecture and although the pre release worked the final edition didn't. This was a ploy by apple to make people upgrade their hardware.to be honest they were designed to use snow leopard and it runs perfectly in that OS.
All machines vary slightly in spec some have 160gb and others have 250gb but I believe only the 20 inch have the 250gb, if your after the 20 inch model i have them also but they are 300, bigger hard drive and faster CPU.
My advice is to put a SSD in and max out the ram, these machines were built to last!
Full app store, if you have an iphone or an ipad you need to try a mac! cant believe that i havent had my hand bitten off here to be honest.
Well I would love one... but we already have a 2009 Macbook so I can no way justify the expense. But I can vouch for Mac's, after happily using windows pc's for everything from the mid-90s onwards I started using a Mac because of my work at the time, and was hooked.
If I had a spare £200 I would defo get one! Sleek, fast, intuitive.. and you can even run all of your windows programmes (at least the ones that run on xp and vista) on them by partitioning the harddrive (easily done.. I'm a numpty and I managed it...) and loading up windows alongside Snow Leopard.
these are a bargain, you wont get any trouble from a mac, they are faster than a pc, more reliable and there is a lot more software available for them now.
Intel core 2 duo, I have several that I bought in bulk, formatted tested by buying several i managed to get the price down from 400 to 200, thought you lot would be tearing my hand off!!
Gotta be honest they really are amazing bits of kit. I love em.people look at the spec and compare them to a windows pc, but its completely different! Any inspection welcome and thanks for the great reviews folks much appreciated.
