Hi. I want to buy a "Samsung Galaxy S III S3 SIII i9305 16GB LTE", and I noticed the best prices are from outside the U.K, (U.S and China for example.) What are the pitfalls, (if any,) to buying from outside the U.K please? Would they even work here? And what are the custom charges? I'd greatly appreciate any words of wisdom!

Chinese phones could very easily be copies, so you need to be aware of this.
Phones from the US can be on a different band than UK models.
I'm not saying don't do it, just be aware of the possible pitfalls.

it's no catch, i know people who have bought phones from america that work perfectly well here, others have bought phones from USA that don't work. so it's not so much a gamble, but you need to do research and ask questions.
most 'quad band' phones should work here as well as USA.
