https://www.facebook.com/SpaceDogsYellowRibbonCampaignAndCharity?ref=stream I have just found out about a really good scheme for dogs that need space. Basically the dog wears a yellow ribbon if it is not people or dog friendly. There are also hi viz vests, lead covers and collar covers. The link is above. I think it is a really good idea for all dog owners to be aware of when out and about.

It's a good idea. My daughter has horses and at shows there are often horses with a red ribbon in their tails, it just shows people to give that horse space. It's simple.

The only downside I see with this, is little girls thinking the dog looks cute with ribbons and running over to said dog.

I am not using the ribbons as feel they are too subtle, I will use the vests with the wording ' give me space' on them.
Although, parents should not allow children to approach any unknown dog.

I bought one of the collars for my dog with "No Dogs" on it, basically they make them in three colours, Green with "Safe" on on for a good dog, Orange, like mine, for dogs not good with other dogs, and Red with "Caution" on it for dogs not good with other dogs or unknown people.
Like a lot of things it's a good idea if people actually know what it means, mine just look like I'm protesting if you've never seen one.
As an aside, I was always told my dog was no good with other, and the first few months seemed to back that up hence the middle of the night walks. The sunny weather means he's had a few earlier ones, and now I have to amend that to: he doesn't like MALE dogs. (You can work the rest out yourself).

Haha! My dog doesnt like other dogs since staying in doggy day care whilst I was on holiday, such a shame as he passed all his obedience training and loved other dogs before.
We do agility now but I have to stand away from other dogs!!
I think if he wears a hi viz with stay away and I wear the same we can make other people aware to give us space.
I just wish that other owners would not follow the 'my dog is friendly' thing. Just because they are doesnt mean mine is!!
