The 2013 Wirral Walking Festival, which will take place from the 1st – 31st May with over 100 walks throughout the peninsula.

There are a series of walks organised by the Wirral Footpaths and Open Spaces Preservation Society. Other local walking clubs and societies are getting invloved too with local initiatives such as ‘Buggy Park Fitness’, Health Walks’ and ‘History and Heritage’.

There will be tours of Hilbre Islands, guided walks around the famous Ness Gardens and the Wirral Coastal Walk on Sunday 19th May.

There will be something taking place every day in the month of May during the 125th anniversary of the Footpaths and Open Spaces Preservation Society.

There will be walks for all, encouraging familes and people with limited mobility to take part.
