Bubbles playcentre Newbrighton
Despite the mixed views on this new centre. I went today and was pleasantly surprised. I did have my reservations on the cost, but after actually seeing the size of the facility and the work that has gone into it, I think it is well worth the money. On the down side, the quality of food wasnt up to much in my opinion. The prices, I suppose are in line with most other places, but the quality on the food has a bit to be desired! All in all, a good place, but best going before or after lunch.

Thanks for sharing i was thinking about taking my 2 youngsters there but was told it was a bit steep admission wise.
Do you have to book online or can you pay on entry?

I tried to book online but the facility to do it wasn't there. I think they may only offer that at weekends and school hols. Admission prices are £1.50 for under 1's, £4.50 for 1-2 years, £1.00 for adults and £6.00 for over 3's. Included in the price is a token for a ride/game. As I said previously I didn't think the hot food was up to much, but I did notice that that had fresh fruit, doughnuts and cakes/cookies which looked nice and didn't cost the earth! it might be worth mentioning that it opens 10am till 6pm. Just incase people were thinking of going straight after school drop off.

It caters for children upto 11 years. Think the height restriction said 4ft9in. But when I went yesterday there was a couple of girls that looked alot taller than that. Saying that, alot of adults go on the equipment aswell! It is a good way to get exercise. I was shattered after 2 hours running round with my 22 month old!

It's well worth going. It's brilliant even for the adults.
It is for 2 hours play but if it's not too busy they let the kids play for longer.

You can pay on the door but if it's busy you take a ticket with a number on it.
Well worth a visit.

Sounds like a place people will only go once at them prices, especially for those with more than 1 or 2 kids

It was brilliant. Well worth the money. Its more of a once a month treat than every week though. £6 is more than worth it for the facilities on offer and parking is free. I loved it just as much as my two year old and will definatley go back.

People moaning about paying £6 to give their kid a few hours of fun are the same people moaning about the price of ciggies and booze most probably.

I had reservations about the price, but decided to give it a go last week. I usually buy drinks and maybe lunch when we go to soft play places, but because getting in to bubbles is twice the price of our usual haunts, we ate at home.

The kids really loved it. They had a brilliant two hours (which is all you are allowed) and they went home tired and happy.

From my point of view... This place is huge. Once kids go inside the play frame you can't keep track of where they are. They do have cctv, but it's just fixed 4 cameras and I couldn't see my kids on there even once, so it didn't help much. When our time was up, I found my son easily but my daughter was nowhere to be seen. Even the staff couldn't find her! It was a pretty terrifying 20 minutes whilst they searched the building, and eventually she was found. Not sure I would want to go through that worry again in a hurry!!!

I was not too comfortable about all the adults playing on the frame with the kids. I understand that little ones need supervising and I know there are staff inside the frame keeping an eye on things, but that place is so huge there is no way they can see everything that is going on all of the time. Perhaps I am being overly paranoid. Perhaps being a parent just makes you see danger EVERYWHERE. But I could not help worrying if my children were safe in there with all those adults, who did not have CRB checks and could of been anyone! (Can't go on the frame with them myself, due to a hip problem)

Having said all of that though, the kids did love it and I am sure we will go again.

Went yesterday first time, my little one enjoyed it but I wondered what it would be like packed. It was half full and the noise was unbelievable plus staff were not picking up half eaten dinners from tables which was off putting. Believe there are two floors for sitting areas although I never had a look around upstairs. We did order food which wasn't up to much and quite expensive. Overall I would give it another go but not at weekends.
