Likewise, great pics. My father's line lived in the Chester Street area way back in the eighteenth century. It states under the images that they made way for Egerton Street. But my research into my family tree shows that Egerton Street was there in the 1840s. People lived in terrible conditions. I guess the poor buggers were born too soon. They could never imagine how well their descendents would live today.
