Local Residents Advised To Keep Windows Shut After Fire Starts At Industrial Unit In Corbyn Street, Seacombe

Friday, 23 November 2012
Corbyn Street, Seacombe.
Firefighters are tackling a blaze at an industrial unit.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service was called at 3.52am on Friday November 23.
The fire involves part of a roof at the unit in Corbyn Street, Seacombe, on the Wirral.

Five fire appliances were on the scene by 5.10am this morning with two more requested to provide enough personnel for firefighting operations.

Local residents in the area are advised to keep their windows shut.

The building, thought to be a bathroom company, where the fire started is two stories high, around 40 metres by 40 metres in size and includes industrial and offices.

Appliances from Birkenhead Community Fire Station, Wallasey Community Fire Station, City Centre Community Fire Station and one from Kirkdale Community Fire Station are on scene.

At this stage there are no reports of anyone trapped or injured.

Further updates on this website will be provided later today.

I'm not surprised after seeing some of the scrotes performing in that area. Not a sheriff in sight.
