My son PS3 has stopped working - can anyone recommend repairers, ideally near to Chester but could be further afield - ?

When i bought a ps3 second hand it stopped reading the discs an i took mine to a shop an the fella told me to ring sony, i did, they asked what problem was, what the serial number was on the side(check it wernt stolen), an they sent a courier out i had to hand him just the console an he gave me a brand new 1, didnt need a receipt or anyfin jus cant remember the number for sony sure itll be on net sonewhere if thats any help

Hi Lando -

Think it just has a flashing red light, won't switvh on or run and can't extract the game disc. Not good!

1st to eject your game.

turn the ps3 off from the plug.

now hold the eject button

now turn plug on but keep the eject button held down till disc comes out

This will force eject the disc. If you hold the eject button for like 15 seconds smile

2. now for the flashing red light

turn off the ps3 then turn it on as soon as you turn it on hold power till you hear 3beeps I'll put vid on so you know what to do smile

Managed to get the game out, using your recommended technique, thanx!

Unfortunately, the re-set procedure did not work, so we'll have to get a replacement PS3 - worth a try, anyway, ta again!!

There is a mobile phone repair shop on the corner of New chester road and New ferry road (a Russian bloke)he is reasonable and able to fix everything I give him, worth asking.
