Anyone know what the old planes flying over Rock Ferry / Wirral today were and where they were going ?

think it was to do with the tall ships in liverpool.they did a routine over the mersey it was very good.

saw 2 single prop planes fly over lairds,one did a bit of a swerve then they buggered off.anyone know what they were?

they turned up again today 20 mins after the tall ships had all gone - managed to get a quick pic from a car park by the tram museum.
