Get photos done at Asda Wallasey then after you've filled your forms in take them to the Post Office. They'll do the verification for u - take lots of ID - I got mine back in about 7 days. Hope this helps x

I went to the post office today and they told me it would take 2 - 3 weeks which is in line with what the Passport office told me yesterday. Was the 6 weeks for a brand new passport? maybe its different timings than just a renewal.

I had to buy 5 renewals last year and had them all back within 7 days Don't think it makes any difference if it's a renewal or 1st time, just depends how busy they are.
