Hiya guys, A few days ago I was given a laptop by a friend of mine, because her daughter has replaced her's because she's off to uni in September. Only problem is, it's all in Chinese I know if I press f11 I should in theory be able to restore it back to factory settings. only problem is, I am not Chinese nor can I read Chinese. At start up it says it's running Vista home basic, when I go into safe mode the whole layout doesn't make sense. By the looks of things the hard drive has been partitioned into 4 as well. Without having a windows disc, how can I restore this laptop? It's a HP 540 Notebook Thanks Maisie

Bring it in tomorrow, if they can't do it for you whilst you wait you'll have to book it in and I'll sort it out for you.
