That's an unfair comparison and not to cause you offence, a poor statement to make to back up an argument, considering being a GP and being a PC are two completely different disciplines.

No-one in such a position should come close to being even tempted to take advantage. History has proven that one bad apple spoils the lot - are the police less trustworthy than politicians? Not a good image.

It'd be a worse fookin country without the police!!

I'm stepping away from the thread now because my BP is through the fookin roof!!

How can a moderator be lowering the tone, or dignity, of the site down, they enforce the levels for the rest of us to follow.

It shouldn't matter if he/she are a moderator...swearing only spoils the site...the history and local news reports on this site have got me totally hooked, but the unnecessary swearing just spoils a good information source...if the swearing was a direct quote in a story that's different.

So where is the evidence then? It's pure gossip backed up by absolutely nothing. If it was real news, it would be in 'the news'. Nothing has been reported because there is nothing to report. If there is something to these ridiculous rumours, it will be reported through official channels at the relevant time. If there is something to the rumours then I don't feel this is the place for them.

Out of interest, and seeing as you brought the topic up, what job do you do where this kind of drivel may be relevant?

O/T but I have reported myself and asked Mark to remove the f'in to keep everybody happy smile If in the future, anyone is offended by any posting or language used in a post, please do not hesitate to use the "Notify" button and explain your reason for notifying. It doesn't matter if it's a "normal" member or a Moderator wink

I stand by my examples though. No offence taken at all LB smile A GP and a Police Officer are both occupations based on trust, so not completely different IMO, but we can agree to disagree wink One bad apple does indeed "spoil the lot" but it still doesn't mean that all are bad or that the option of corruption is a "perk of the job".

There are a fair few on here, and the ones that I know are most certainly NOT bad apples. A few people on here know 1 or 2 of them and would, I'm 99.9% certain, agree.

thats my whole point it isnt in the news which has surprised me and you would have to be very naive to believe that it doesnt exist if not in the news.
