E30's Rock Theres loads of them round so can be picked up nice and cheap, not the quickest thing in the world, but RWD, and very easy to work on mechanically. Only worry point is the price of parts, certain bushes are "dealer only" and very expensive, and even some of the aftermarket pattern parts arent cheap Watch for rust on the sills and rear arches and wear on interior trim. Mechanically they are very good, I had a 320i with 230k on the clock and it ran fine (Though it did have a full BMW service history) before I fitted the 2.5 lump. Spend good money on suspension as they can feel very "soggy" on just lowering springs
